Mike Krenn

Mike Krenn, Founder of Venture Pipeline, is dedicated to advancing the emerging growth tech community in San Diego. Known as an Innovation Instigator and community builder, he works to create a premier innovation ecosystem. Mike regularly mentors companies to secure funding and scale, and has been a key figure in promoting San Diego in venture capital and tech circles, influencing VCs to invest in Southern California companies. Over the past year, he has helped bring more than 150 VCs to San Diego. Throughout his career, Mike has assisted over 100 companies in raising more than $500M in startup capital and has firsthand experience as a COO at a technology startup. He co-founded Tech Coast Angels and CommNexus (now Evonexus) and established Venture Pipeline, a free service that connects entrepreneurs with capital sources. At DLA, he led the global business development team, managing 80 members across 70 offices in 30 countries. He’s lost a step on the hoops court in recent years but can still score on his kid, which is what really matters.
