Erik Nakamura

Erik is the CFO of Orange Comet, a next-generation gaming and entertainment company known for creating immersive experiences in collaboration with major entertainment properties. Under his leadership, the company has developed advanced gaming technologies allowing players to own in-game assets and enjoy high-stakes gameplay with true in-game interoperability. Erik has built the team and systems necessary for scaling the company, focusing on talent acquisition, employee engagement, and retention. Before joining Orange Comet, Erik was CFO at Nogin, a Commerce-as-a-Service (CaaS) company, where he led the SPAC process and established the Finance, HR, SEC Legal, and Investor Relations functions. He has experience with tech startups and public company transitions, including an 11-year tenure at The Cooper Companies (NYSE: COO), and began his career at KPMG in Silicon Valley. Erik serves on the San Diego CFO Leadership Council Advisory Board, is a Gartner Peer Group Ambassador, and a Finance Alliance Ambassador. He frequently speaks at industry events and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Utah.
