Mike Weir
After graduating from the University of California, San Diego and the Wharton School, Mike decided to “learn the ropes for a couple of years” before starting his own venture. 34 years later, he “retired” from Hewlett Packard. In his tenure he helped launch HP into the industry standard PC business, the industry standard server business and the groundbreaking printer All-in-One business. He was also able to help HP transform from a hardware company to a services company. He grew the Managed Print Services business to a multi-billion dollar business and drove HP to #1 market position in several vertical markets including healthcare, education and retail point of sale. When Mike left HP, he was in charge of a portfolio of businesses that he had grown to over $10 billion dollars of annual revenue. Since “retiring”, Mike has started two businesses with revenues in the multi million dollars. Mike has also driven several real estate ventures and carved out parts of the businesses he started and sold them. Mike lives in Encinitas with his wife of 34 years. He has two daughters, one a senior in college and one a senior in high school.
