Steve Rowles

Steve Rowles is the Chair of Morrison & Foerster, LLP’s San Diego Corporate Group, bringing over 25 years of experience as corporate counsel to public and private companies, as well as venture capital and private equity funds. He advises companies at all stages of their lifecycle, leveraging his exceptional negotiating skills and strategic thinking to achieve successful outcomes. Steve has played a pivotal role in launching and exiting numerous emerging growth companies across various sectors, including biotech, digital health, and fintech. He has led mergers and acquisitions and securities transactions that total over $2 billion, providing general counsel services for many public companies. A Northwestern University graduate and a member of Phi Beta Kappa, he earned his law degree from Boalt Hall School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. Steve is active in his community, serving on the Board of Directors for EvoNexus San Diego and the Jacobs Cushman San Diego Food Bank, and supporting Children’s Hospital. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, reading, and spending time with his family.
